Hello everyone! These days there is hype about powder cleansers. There are many brands that provide powder cleansers. Powder cleansers are a great option if you want to exfoliate and cleanse in one go. Today I will review a clay cleanser by skincare villa.
Sonali Patil who runs a blog named Skincarevilla and owns an Instagram store named Skincarevilla.shop for organic skin care products. Everyone raves about Skincarevilla’s powder cleansers. Her powder cleansers are cult favorites.
ABOUT
A soft yet effective, gentle cleanser to remove excess oil and dirt from combination, oily skin. It also acts as a two in one mask cum cleanser.
PACKAGING
It comes in a regular see-through 50 gm plastic jar with a Tin screw-on lead. 100 gm glass jar is also available on request.
FRAGRANCE
It has got mild fragrance of roses.
TEXTURE
- It is a off white colored fine powder.
- It turns pinkish when water/rosewater is added to it.
INGREDIENTS
- BENTONITE CLAY: Bentonite clay absorbs excess sebum from the skin. It naturally exfoliates the skin. Cleans clogged pores; Therefore, it cleans up existing blackheads and prevents them from coming.
- CHAMOMILE: It has anti-fungal, antibacterial, antiseptic and antioxidant properties. Promotes a healthy glow of the skin.
- ROSE: Because of antioxidants, it prevents the formation of wrinkles. The regular use of a rose petal powder for cleansing, toning and exfoliating tightens the skin and slows down the ageing. It gives you a clear complexion. Does not dry out the skin. Helps to lighten dark spots and blemishes. Removes excess oil, dead cells, sebum and dirt from the face. It soothes skin inflammation.
- OATS: They act as natural cleansers. Oats removes the dead skin cells. It is suitable for all skin types. Helps to treat acne. Removes excess oil from pores. It has anti-inflammatory properties. Oat helps to relieve itching associated with poison ivy, chickenpox or mosquito bites.

MY TAKE ON THIS/FINAL VERDICT
I like the versatility of products by skincare villa. Powder cleansers can be used daily as a standalone cleanser or as a face pack by adding milk, honey, curd, aloe vera gel or rose water. It is not harsh on the skin. So, people with sensitive skin can easily use it. It throughly cleanses my pores and eliminates excess sebum. It also makes my skin soft. I use it as a face cleanser and as a face mask or sometimes gently scrub my face or leave it for 5 mins and then wash. People with Oily skin will love this one. If you are into natural powder cleansers, then give this one a try.
