Hello, beauties! How are you all? I hope you all are doing great. Sorry I was MIA and was not posting reviews, hope to be regular again. Today I will talk about a skincare product by a much-loved brand. “The Ordinary” is a brand that has been in talks since its launch due to its amazing formulations. I got a chance to use its cult-favourite AHA BHA Peel in 2018. Since The Ordinary launched in India I decided to try niacinamide serum from them. Keep on reading to know my experience with the serum.
ABOUT
Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) is indicated to reduce the appearance of skin blemishes and congestion. A high 10% concentration of this vitamin alongside zinc salt of pyrrolidone carboxylic acid has been shown to significantly reinforce skin barrier function, improve skin smoothness, and increase skin radiance over time.
Contraindications: If topical Vitamin C (L-Ascorbic Acid or Ethylated L-Ascorbic Acid) is used as part of skincare, it should be applied at alternate times with this formula (ideally Vitamin C in the PM and this formula in the AM). Otherwise, Niacinamide can affect the integrity of Vitamin C.
Notes: While Niacinamide and Zinc PCA reduce the look of blemishes and brighten skin tone, neither is an acne treatment. We recommend speaking to your healthcare provider regarding treatment options for persistent acne-related conditions. This formulation can be used alongside acne treatments for added visible skin benefits.
PRICE
INR 600 for 30 ml.

MY EXPERIENCE
Skin type – Combination to oily,
Finally, The Ordinary is available on Nykaa and is affordable. I purchased this hyped niacinamide serum to try and I am not disappointed. I use it once a day in my night time skincare routine after cleansing and toning. Only 3-4 drops are enough if used more than 3/4 drops it will leave a tacky feel, which anyways goes away after applying a moisturiser. It foams a little but it disappears quickly. Niacinamide worked on my skin and I have definitely seen a difference in my skin texture. It also works on hyper pigmentation but you have to use it regularly for few months to see a significant change. One thing which I love about the serum after using one bottle of it is that it has reduced the appearance of my pores.
Do a patch test before using it on the face. Sunscreen is mandatory.
